Dog-modding fad sweeps Thailand

Take one soi dog, one magic marker, a pinch of artistic inspiration and … voila! … we present the eye-catching zebra-dog.

Dog-modding has become Thailand’s latest bizarre fad as thousands of cheeky pranksters compete to design ever-more-colourful canine companions.

From Phuket to Pattaya, designer dogs and pimped-out puppies are moving away from the classic earth tones and are shaking up their whole look with vibrant, fresh and fashionable shades.

From its humble origins in Thailand, dog-modding is now going “inter”. The ubiquitous Thai smile is conspicuously absent from the zebra-dog photo because it was actually snapped in the Philippines.
