Pancake Jamikorn ages before our eyes

Thailand’s top soap actress, the improbably beautiful Pancake Jamikorn, needs no introduction but who is that scarecrow on the right?

Incredibly, it’s Pancake’s mom. The most unsettling thing about seeing mother and daughter together is that when you compare them feature by feature – eyes, nose, cheekbones etc. – they could almost be twins. This is Pancake’s face in 20 years time.

Pancake’s legions of adoring male fans should be careful what they wish for.

To make matters worse, Pancake’s mom reputedly has an abrasive personality to match her hard face. Dirtiilaundry reports how things went wrong when she arranged for Pancake to attend a hotel function in Chiangmai. Despite having been paid 100,000 baht just to show up, the pair arrived two hours late and refused to pose for photographs with disappointed fans.

Stung by their criticism, Pancake’s mom called a press conference to explain that her daughter is too high-class to pose with riff-raff.

“If you think you want to kill us, we will kill you first,” she added.
